2014 Livermore Cabernet Sauvignon - Elliston Vineyards

2014 Livermore Cabernet Sauvignon

$27.99

TASTING NOTES

2014 Made with grapes from the Livermore Valley, is juicy and fresh, this Cab boasts wild strawberry, black cherry pomegranate, and dried cranberries. The fresh aromas transition to mild baking spices like crushed paprika, cinnamon sticks, toasted walnut shell, and smoked vanilla bean.

Elliston Vineyards, located just East of San Francisco Bay, provides a few thousand cases of premium wines. French Oak barrels are used to produce small lots of estate wines, handmade with old world nuances and California overtones.

Elliston, built by California pioneer Henry Hiram Ellis, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Its ageless stone mansion sets the stage for many memorable events, including weddings and dinner parties. To purchase our wines in bulk, or receive information on our wedding and events, please call us at 925-862-2377 or email us at info@elliston.com.

Perhaps something was wrong

When we opened the bottle, we noticed an odd odor. We all tried the wine anyway. None of us liked it. It had a very strange taste. We ended up dumping it all out. We think this was just a bad bottle.

Good Find

Years ago I was a member of the wine club at Elliston, but let it lapse. Recently I tried their 2014 Cabernet & found it to be good & with a good price. With two cases under my belt my pleasure continues, along with a recommendation to others to enjoy.
